"The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new. " | Socrates

One of the best most challenging journeys you will ever go on is seeing what your body is capable of. There might be a chance you are in shape, wholly out of shape, or merely expecting to lose some weight. Nonetheless, developing a body that you can be proud, one that's healthy, and permits you to really adore every last piece of it really is a wonderful journey to undertake.

So what is the secret to making a lasting change with your body?

    Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table every day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you'll become deeply discouraged and daunted by the task at hand. Instead, really try and understand you're contesting with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But each time you do, you need to come back with a firm dedication to achieving something you really wanted. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field every day. Without it, you may suffer the the unavoidable fact of many new years resolutioners who give up each single year on making the body of their dreams because they lack the power to keep on coming back repeatedly timeand again.

Commitment also suggests itself, although not the commitment you're possibly thinking of. In our world, we are fed this concept that everything must occur at the moment and if it doesn't happen now, it is not worth it at all. Your body is going to change throughout all the years, so why don't you try and make a lifelong commitment to remaining healthy? Is that an attractive marketable idea? Not particularly. But is it something that could truly change the course of your life? Definitely.

When you make a commitment to keeping your body healthy all throughout your whole life, you may at last reach whatever goal you wish. It is about seeing the bigger picture than just the few months in front of you until summer. It's honestly about developing something that you can be proud of for ever and ever. For me, that new concept changed my life as I was able to eventually hit my fitness goals after 12 years of struggling with my self image and food issues. But as soon as I modified my view of what I was trying to attain, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it might work for you. Make a lifetime dedication to remaining healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term too.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all sides of your life, and things will change radically.
